Amanda grew up in Brodhead, Wisconsin (along the Wisconsin/Illinois border). She was certified in Mexico May of 2016, after her husband, Chris, convinced her to, although it did take several attempts on his part. Her favorite dive courses she has taken so far are the Nitrox course and the Equipment Specialty course because she loves understanding how and why things work. She is probably the only person who would want to sit through an Advanced Nitrox and Decompression course to learn the math & physics, but never actually do the dives. Her diving related goal is to simply keep enjoying the sport with her husband and pass down their love of diving to their son.
