Doug grew up in Springfield, Ohio. He has been curious about the ocean since he was a kid, and like many other kids, grew up watching Jacques Cousteau movies. So, when a group of his college friends decided they wanted to get certified in 1993, he was quick to join in. His favorite course he has taken so far is the Rescue Diver course. He wants to pair his Divemaster certification with his Captain’s License to work dive charters, preferably in Key Largo, to supplement his retirement income.
